Tengelmann Energie GmbH is a strong partner in the fields of energy and sustainability for our customers. The basis is formed by innovative services relating to energy purchasing, energy efficiency and the reduction of CO₂ emissions.

Within Tengelmann Energie GmbH, our employees are also committed to the responsible use of energy on a daily basis. The prerequisite for this is an open corporate culture that promotes exchange between our employees, provides plenty of room for personal creativity, and supports a pronounced culture of discussion and feedback.

Our employees are the focus of our attention

Tengelmann Energie GmbH offers its employees long-term prospects and provides pragmatic options for balancing work and family life. For example, it is a matter of course for us that all of our employees can work on a mobile basis for up to three days a week. But not only the place, but also the time can be flexibly arranged by our employees within the core working hours.

Our works council represents the interests of our employees and is available to answer any questions. Our employees can also make provisions for their future with a company pension plan.

UN Global Compact

We are pioneers in our industry and were one of the first energy services companies to join the UN Global Compact, a voluntary initiative to promote sustainable development and social commitment. In this way, we are actively driving forward the expansion of our sustainability strategy.

Social commitment

Tengelmann Energie GmbH also assumes responsibility towards society. For example, we support social institutions in the region. In our annual Christmas campaign, we are a wish granter for children of SOS-Kinderdorf e. V. in Essen.

Once a year we give our employees time off work to get involved in social activities. This year, we again supported NABU in harvesting apples from a meadow orchard and the youth groups of the SOS Children’s Village in their renovation work.

It is important to us to make a contribution to climate protection today. Climate-friendly action is therefore an integral part of our corporate culture. We have set ourselves ambitious targets for reducing our CO₂ emissions in the future.
